Despite my very successful career, which is further proven by a long string of accomplishments that I had, I still have one thing more that lack in my life: having someone to love for the rest of my life. I had searched here and there, and made myself visible and available to men. I looked for bachelors at my workplace, from my former schoolmates, in my church, at social gatherings, and of course, in the internet dating sites. I had dated a lot of people to get to know them, and see if something would work out and somehow get settled down. Most of my guys that I have dated came from this particular dating site that I like, date.com. I have made friends with several interesting guys from this site. Occasionally, I meet people from other countries and get interested in their way of life. Despite the cultural differences, I was able to connect to some guys and find at least a common interest to talk about. I tend prefer guys who are also as accomplished and goal-oriented as I am, and somewhat likes outdoor adventures and traveling to other places. Date.com is a virtual dating place that allows me to find people that share my interests. I find myself hooked to this site especially during the weekends.
From these online friends that I have met, I get to date some of them and get to know each other personally and try to see if things would really go to the next level: a steady relationship. Eventually, I found a great guy that I like for his sense of humor, smart personality but down-to-earth style. This combination of traits made me attracted to him. I really jumped with joy when he admitted that he had fallen for me.
However, for some reasons beyond our control, things did not really work out. We had gone separate ways; we talked about it and decided to remain just friends. We were both sad at the decision that we had made. At least I was fortunate to have found and love him, and I enjoyed the bliss of falling in love than a lifetime of not knowing him, and how it feels to be loved in return. I haven’t lost all hope for another great love yet, and I still wish the Mr. Right would finally come along my way, and finally be successful in love.
